Coach K and the Blue Devils dominated this game in the first half. After the first three minutes, Duke consistently led the rest of the first half.

The second half was much more of a game with three lead changes in the first five minutes. But after Duke regained the lead, it held it till the buzzer. Duke won the game because of its defensive play and heads to yet another Final Four with a final score of 66-52 over Gonzaga.

Impact Player

Duke’s Matt Jones was the impact player of the game shooting 60 percent from the field and ending with 16 points.

Turning Point

Duke took the lead with 4:33 left in the second half, and started extending their lead to 14 points while holding the Zags scoreless in the last 6 minuets of play.

Strange, Yet True

Duke only had 2 turnovers in the game, and none in the last 17 minutes.

Coach K is going to his 12th final four, which is tied for first all time with John Wooden.

Up Next

Duke goes on to play Michigan State in the Final Four on Saturday night in Indianapolis.

Gonzaga ends its season with a record of 35-3.
