Instant Analysis: Wichita State shocks Jayhawks

Wichita State and the Kansas Jayhawks had not met since 1993, in what was once a regularly-scheduled match-up.

No. 2-seeded Kansas probably wished it stayed that way after a 78-65 loss to the seven-seeded Shockers at CenturyLink Center Sunday night.

Tekele Cotton’s hot shooting night and another consistent performance from Fred VanVleet paced the Shockers to their sixth NCAA tournament regional semifinal round in school history.

Instant Analysis: Wisconsin pulls away late

With the Sweet 16 on the line, neither team was willing to give in.  No. 1 seed Wisconsin wasn’t able to pull away from the Ducks until late in this one, 72-65.  The Ducks gave the Badgers and Bo Ryan all they could handle. Frank Kaminsky did not steal the show, but he was able to tally 16 points.

Instant Analysis: Gonzaga cruises to Sweet 16

The Zags are going on to the Sweet 16 after dominating the Iowa Hawkeyes. Gonzaga had four players in double digits and crashed the boards with 34 rebounds. The team was not stingy with the ball by any means with every starter having at least one assist. Domantas Sabonis stepped up big off the bench tallying 18 points and the Gonzaga Bulldogs would go on to win, 87-68.
