This might be the craziest March Madness tournament to date with most of the games going down to the wire, and this game didn’t disappoint, Indiana’s starting forward, Collin Hartman, picked up two quick fouls and had to sit most of the first half, but it didn’t keep Indiana from taking a 39-36 lead at the half. In this high tempo game there were seven lead changes, but with 10:24 left in the second half Wichita St. took the lead, and held it for the rest of the game.
We finally get to see the Wichita St. versus Kansas match-up we have all been waiting for.
The question for Indiana is how long will Tom Crean be their coach?
If there’s anything we know from March, it’s that a game is never over, and that was definitely the case in this one. Michigan State seemed to have put this one away about three separate times in the second half, but Georgia refused to be silenced. They battled back from 10 point deficits three times in today’s game but were never able to even the score as Michigan State went on to win a game that was much closer than the score indicates, 70-63.
With No. 10 Ohio State’s close win over VCU in the round of 64, they move on to face a tough No. 2 Arizona Wildcats team on Saturday. This will be no easy one for Thad Matta’s squad, as the Wildcats Pack-line defense is sure to cause trouble.
