Welcome to the last two days of the regular season … which are appropriately enough loaded with top games. Some games today, though, that aren’t getting the top billing are more important for the long-term. Many teams need key wins to get off the tournament bubble. Others are looking for convincing wins to strengthen their tournament resumes. So while the Duke/North Carolina, Kansas/Oklahoma, and Virginia/Louisville games are outstanding, don’t forget about these games either. Our recommendation? Settle in for an outstanding day of college hoops.
Let’s go back to January 28, shall we? Notre Dame comes from behind at home to beat the Blue Devils. It was Duke’s third conference loss in the month of January. But since then, the Blue Devils have looked like experienced upperclassmen rather than wet-footed underclassmen in a very deep ACC, especially at the top of the conference.
Since its monster upset over Kansas, Oklahoma State might officially be off the bubble and in the tournament. Before the Cowboys look too far ahead, however, they will have to face the winners of three straight in Baylor.
