No. 1 Kentucky took care of No. 5 West Virginia at the Quicken Loans Arena tonight, dominating the Mountaineers in every facet of the game for a 78-39 victory.

Turning Point

Kentucky hit the bonus only 8 minutes in the first half, and had a 16-point scoring run to start the game. They never looked back against Bob Huggins’ squad, who frankly looked lost out on the court. Kentucky blocked, stole, and rebounded their way to a 26-point halftime lead, ending with 4, 3, and 18 respectively.

Impact Player

Aaron Harrison took over in the first half, shooting for 12 points. More amazing, this was on a 100 percent field goal rate, landing 4-of-4.

Strange, Yet True

Kentucky hit the double bonus with 8:25 left in the first half, the earliest double bonus of the tournament.

Up Next

No. 1 Kentucky is heading on into the Elite 8, where No. 3 Notre Dame will have a shot at beating the undefeated Wildcats. No. 5 West Virginia ends its season at 25-9 in the Sweet 16.
