There are three ways college teams can get torn apart: the NBA Draft, graduation, and transfers. If transfers pick the right schools to go to, they can make a major impact on those teams. This off-season has had many moves, but you have to look at last year’s transfers to make an impact due to the year of ineligibility for transferring.
No doubt about it, Duke’s freshman Tyus Jones was named the MVP of the tournament. After the benching of Jahlil Okafor and Justise Winslow due to foul trouble, Jones put the team on his shoulders.
WITH VIDEO: Duke and Wisconsin have more than earned their chance to compete for the national title. It’s Frank Kaminsky versus Jahlil Okafor and Sam Dekker versus Justise Winslow. The first half of the game from the view point of the match-ups were fairly even until both Okafor and Winslow for Duke got in early foul trouble and hit the bench for a majority of the last 10 minutes.
Wisconsin’s Dekker and Kaminsky had 8 and 7 points respectively, while Winslow and Okafor finished the first half with 7 and 6 to lead the Blue Devils as the teams went to the locker room tied at 31.
