No. 1 Kentucky has been unstoppable, going 36-0 and cruising into the Sweet 16. The No. 5 Mountaineers come into Thursday night as the underdogs, but freshman Daxter Miles Jr. told ESPN yesterday that he was confident in his team, and the Wildcats will be 36-1 tomorrow. While West Virginia fans appreciate his confidence, it will take more than that to bring down the juggernaut Kentucky, something Bob Huggins knows all too well. No. 1 Duke cruised by No. 8 San Diego State in the Round of 32 today, 68-49, locking up its spot in the Sweet 16.
The game was never in question in the Time Warner Cable Arena, with Duke outscoring the Aztecs in both halves, and its defense remaining stout. Jahlil Okafor had a good day, ending the game with 26 points on 16 shots, but the real showing came from the Justin Winslow who grabbed 12 boards.
